THE JOFFREY ESTABLISHES THE GENERATION J LEADERSHIP COUNCIL

October 1, 2018 (Chicago) – The Joffrey Ballet today announced the creation of the Generation J Leadership Council (formerly known as the Joffrey Auxiliary Board). The transition is designed to align with the Joffrey’s new Audience Development Initiative, which enhances the Joffrey experience through tickets sales and promotions.

“This change presents an opportunity to focus on the success of the Auxiliary Board over the last several years by aligning its goals with that of the Alphawood Audience Development Initiative, a critical component to the long-term future of the Joffrey,” said Joffrey Chief Marketing Officer Brian Smith. “The Leadership Council will now have a bigger role when it comes to working with the Joffrey Marketing department and encouraging young audience members to become stakeholders. We’re excited for the opportunities.”

The Generation J Leadership Council functions as the governing council for Generation J, the Joffrey’s network of young professionals and advocates. Generation J was founded in 2011 to generate awareness, loyalty, and engagement among dynamic young professionals between 21-40 years of age. With the
