The Joffrey isn't just a ballet company; it also has a thriving dance academy. In Winning Works,

members of the Joffrey Trainee Program and Studio Company will perform pieces by the recipients of the

sixth annual Winning Works Choreographic Competition: Jeffrey Cirio, Christian Denice and Mariana

Oliveira. This competition is dedicated to giving voice to artists from the African, Latino(a), Asian, Arab and

Native American communities. This is a chance to see what the future of ballet looks like. The Saturday

evening performance has already sold out, but tickets for Saturday or Sunday afternoon are still available.

March 5 and 6, 3 p.m. $24. Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago's Edlis Neeson Theater, 220 E.
